Senior Information / User Experience Architect Portfolio

Below are some selected case studies out of 60+ completed projects from my client work with Period Three over the past five years. My role in all of them has been one of a Pathfinder - a hybrid of an Information Architect (IA) / User Experience (UX) Architect / Digital Project Manager (DPM) / BizDev / and Client's Best Friend.  

Our client work approach is rooted in the Design Thinking Process - one that first defines the problem, then implements solutions, all with the different types of users and their needs at the heart of the design. At its core, there is a bias towards action, creation and experimentation - by creating and testing something, you can continue to learn and improve upon your ideas.

Additionally, I also serve as co-editor / writer for unmatchedstyle.com, a web design gallery in which we review 12-15 websites a week - and view over 50 per week. I also help produce four to six web design and development conferences a year: ConvergeSE (Columbia, SC / Jacksonville, FL) / FrontEnd Design Conference (St. Petersburg, FL) / BDConf (Nashville, TN Washington DC / Orlando, FL) / Grok (Greenville, SC).

Through the client work I've done with Period Three I've been able to hone my skills as in UX, IA and DPM. Through the work I do with unmatchedstyle.com, I've been able to develop a better sense for how websites should flow, what is good, what is not so good, and how to fix it. Through the conferences, I've been able to keep up with what trends are in the web design and development community, and count many thought leaders in this industry as colleagues and friends.

I'm one of the editors for UnmatchedStyle.com - a web designer / developer inspiration gallery. I produce content (reviews) on a daily basis, as well as design resources and interviews.

ConvergeSE

ConvergeSE is a conference that I help produce yearly that is a multi-track, mult-day, 500+ attendee event based around the business and tactics of web design and web development.

BDConf

I am one of the editors of BDConf.com (Breaking Development). We also produce three to six web design / development conferences a year in the "responsive design" space.

Front-End Design Conf

Front-End Design Conference is a conference that I help produce yearly that is a single-track, mult-day, 300+ attendee event based around the business and tactics of web design / development.
